Ukrainian Wheat
Haiku for beauty and peace
Kissed by red sunsets,
hugged by blue sky, Ukraine's wheat
grows in war for peace.

Invaders mined fields,
Farmers de-mined to harvest
As world's still hungry.

Ukrainian wheat's
like its people, hard and strong
Fighting for blue sky.
***
Gold under the blue
On the nation's flag, wheat stands
Tall like its people.
