Two x chromosomes to her name, seen so much pain

So much oppression and injustice, driving her insane

She stood up to men

They counted to ten

Then imprisoned her and told her to stay in her lane

Thanks for reading. Inspired by International Women's Day. I know I am late because I was sorting out my 100th piece, but here is a limerick dedicated to women. The ceiling smashers, the defiant, strong, confident women who persevered in the past and those who still do.

Hope you enjoyed it. Please click the heart, leave a comment or both. All interactions and feedback are appreciated!

    Well done!!!

  • Nice one, Paul. Lowkey, after the last line I was wondering if You were going to have a research article about a woman or group of women that were arrested protesting for women's rights. I think that would be a nice little cherry on top of this delicious limerick.
