Two Partners

An astronomical chase
Galaxies surround us
My sun and my moon
Gracefully entangled
Showered in light
Reflection
And darkness
Waltzing through time
Day
My sun warms my being
Night
My moon enriches the darkness
Dawn
My moon fades, still floating above
Dusk
My sun hides amongst the tree line
It never ends
Even in eclipse
Both seen
Sometimes in darkness
Sometimes in light
Together we gyrate
Our dancefloor generous
But we never leave the path paved
May the stars light up as we glide
You
The sun
The spotlight to my stage
Guiding us
My moon and I sway
You take the lead
Encaged - yet free
Planets watch as we dance
They follow from a far
A few strut between us
Though refusing to disrupt
Earth
A flare creates an Aurora filled sky
An unabridged moon brings a sea of tides
Beauty and peace
Orbiting endlessly
No music to lead
Flawlessly
Carelessly
We dance
