Twisted Justice

An Anti-hero's Tale

In the dark of night

She comes out to play

With a sneer on her face

She stalks her prey

Her eyes wide and gleaming

Imagination teeming

With thoughts of just how

She’ll make this scoundrel pay

Slow and painful

He deserves nothing less

For the torment he caused

And the lives he left a mess

Flashing briefly through her mind

Are some others of her kind

They disagree with her

They just want him to confess

Getting lost in her thoughts

She didn’t sense that they were coming

Now they stand on guard in front of her

While her perp walks away, unaware and humming

They look at her with pointed stares

She looks back at them and glares

Prepared to take on all three

Her pulse speeds, and her blood starts thrumming
