Twice the Fool

surviving violence

By Teresa leePublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Twice a fool.

Some meet Lucifer,

Brush him aside.

Some call it as they see it,

Loving the chaos,

finding pleasure and enjoyment in

Misdeeds, deceit and soul crushing mind games.

then there's my kind,

good for no reason.

Honest without hesitation,

trusting without question.

Oh, the damage.

Good nature; cracked

Trust; fractured, shattered and dusted

twice I danced.

It almost took me

with pain of realization so intense,

disbelief that its worth a another breath,

Hidden signs once accepted cracked the core of good nature

Lies & Cruelty so severe,

the naïve heart couldn't comprehend its possibility

twice I danced.

surreal poetry
