It tasted beautiful

I liked

To lick

As a child

I don't know why

I didn't put things in my mouth

I didn't swallow

I just

Liked

The texture

Money

Bottles

The bumpy paint of the wall

But my favorite

Was our TV

I liked the tingle

The buzz

The glittering taste

Of the television

It tasted

Like baby fireworks

Warm and cozy like hot chocolate

The glass was flat

Cool against my tongue

Unless I watched TV all night

It heated up

Like a microwave I think

A perfect TV dinner

After a long day of trying to fit in

I was scared

What people would say

If they saw my slobber

All across the pristine glow

So I kept it to myself

The delicious taste

Of TV static
