Turn the Dial

Adjust the Levels

“Slanted lines and scant replies remind me that I can’t deny what rants inside -

Pour plants in pieces, pots, and pans

-healthy habits how they help the style to flower, flourish, foliate the art all while the poet shows some personal growth;

Turn the dial;

Adjust the levels,

now trust the mettle

-Truss assembled-

Just clear the dust -

Restore the rusted metal;

Explore the crust, the mantle

-Implore the core:

Ask what you have in store -

Snag it to the surface,

past the crags that lurked or loomed like storms-a-brewin’,

through the weighted waters, shrieking waves;

Surf and race to pursue pain -

Placed in verse without refrain.”
