Tubes of Play

Nets and Ropes

By Seashell Harpspring Published 7 months ago • 1 min read

Sitting high in the play place tubes,

was my top spot with a stuffed toy,

Such joy I am too big for, it's true,

As I smile at those who can still enjoy.

*****

How I wish I was traversing and hanging high,

In a net I can crawl through.

Wanting to give that way another try,

I realize ropes courses will have to do.

*****

I can still play and feel the same from that time of past me,

the love of crawling around up high not fully disappeared.

What I thought was an elegy is now a poem for rediscovery,

I can zip up through the sky higher than just the ceiling, cheers!
