Trust

I wake up every morning feeling incomplete,

Without something essential, not quite replete.

It's not a physical object, nor a person to find,

It's something deeper, something that's aligned.

I lack the confidence to be all that I could,

The trust in myself to know I am good.

I struggle to believe in my inner voice,

And make choices that reflect my true choice.

I search for this thing wherever I go,

Hoping to find it, to let my spirit glow.

But maybe I don't need to look very far,

For what I lack may already be where we are.

Perhaps it's in the way we see ourselves,

Or the stories we tell that put us on hell.

So I'll keep searching within, and take the steps I need,

To find my missing piece and help my heart succeed.
