Trust No One

Too many snakes out there

Trust No One

Hands wrapped tight with poison skin,

A smile can hide the darkest sin,

Venom drips from whispered lies,

Cold betrayal behind kind eyes.

I carried faith through storms and scars,

Believed in souls beneath the stars,

Each promise cracked like shattered glass,

Leaving wounds that never passed.

The serpent waits in every grin,

Patient while it pulls you in,

Sharp fangs buried deep in trust,

Turning loyalty into dust.

I watched the shadows wear a face,

Heard sweet words rot into disgrace,

Every oath became a chain,

Dragging hearts through endless pain.

Silence walks beside my rage,

A trapped beast locked inside a cage,

Memories crawl beneath my skin,

Echoing where love had been.

The night grew heavy on my chest,

No safe place left to call a rest,

Even mirrors looked away,

Tired of truths I could not say.

Now my voice is carved in stone,

I learned to stand my ground alone,

No hand can reach what time destroyed,

Only emptiness fills the void.

Trust died slow without a sound,

Buried deep beneath the ground,

Snakes still circle where hearts break,

Waiting for the next soul to take.
