They say we have a true color, but is that such a thing? One could be green with envy, or red with rage. Depression is the blues while purple screams villainous ways. Yellow-bellied cowards hide in the shade.
Every color has good and bad, even when we see bold flashes of fad. For our kind, colors that aren't the same: skin, hair, nails, even eyes can change. Our heart, our mood, gives life from food--to grow, reek, smile, or seethe.
I bleed red, need life in me. Need sleep, pray love, with thorn roses of pain and passion. No, more poison, more toxins, more dark thoughts from nothing burn strength like acid.
Although, we see green is sage; it heals and fills, more than one since forever. Am I making sense? We eat green, breathe violet, see rings and starlets. Drink orange, waste yellow, roam blue beds, beating red drums of vessels. Consuming rainbows between steps, eyes seek, breaths weak, flesh wet from raindrops.
Blue is the sky, my dog's eyes, the truth in my voice when I speak. Purple is royal and wise, bruises that heal, birthing hopes inside knowing this only one side of green waves from behind.
My sun is yellow as bones grow and skin's tone stay mellow. Warmth shines and glows to yield rubber on hard roads. Bold yet cautious, hurts in strong doses, and overwhelms when you can't take lighter things; even I once thought orange was boring. I was wrong. Plentiful C, strength and still, even orange stones help heal the will.
Every color has a meaning, a reason, a season; same time, same coin, same sword can be a source of treason. Loved by one you love, lose them up above and memories plague love, played over, no more joyful colors.
Good times, good vibes, good life young fellows; rough times, tough limes make bitters taste of sorrow. Can you see a color as good and bad? Beauty in one eye bright day clear skies--exact opposite for another. Stormy nights, roaring strikes, fear spikes. Same sky, same color, but our perception, our light is over.
