Troubling Times

Tales too threatening to tell to timid types.

Turn, turn, turn - there's time to talk.

Trusted troops - they turn the tide,

Testament to the truly tried.

Troublesome, tempted, too terrified,

To tell the tales they've televised.

_____Travelling time, twid’ling thumbs.

Tortured thoughts. The tired toes,

Trying to test these, that, those -

Too tender to touch, to transpose.

_____Taking troops to timeless tombs.

Tip-toe through the tulips today.

Tomorrow – trudge through tissue tamed.

Twisted torsos there to test – they

Take that, that they’ve time to trade.

_____Twitching thumbs to travel time.

Tinkering too timelessly there,

To tread the tracks, to trace the tears.

Therefore, thicken’d through thoughts, through tiers,

_____Tossing tired troops through time.

Though, today the teary troops transform,

To theologians trashedly torn,

To teachers turning trees to thorns.

To terr’rists toppling tainted thrones.

_____Twitching, travelling, twisting tones.

Tomorrow turns tormented tales,

Tales too tatter’d, tinged to tell.

Those tales that troops testify they’ll

_____Text to touchpad telephones.

Supposedly, this poem was a runner-up in the Tautogram Challenge, which entitled me to a $25 prize. That was nearly 2 months ago and as of yet, I have not received any money or notice about how to claim the money. Do I need to apply or fill out a form? If someone from Vocal sees this comment, please contact me and let me know. Thanks!!
