The timid tot toddled,

Tumbling towards the towering tree.

Trembling.

Tina took tiny steps

Trying to temper tripping.

THWACK.

The tremendous tempest

Topples the tree

Trapping the tot

Therein

The tangled trunk.

Terrified.

Tina trilled turbulently.

Thankfully,

Two traveling

Teachers-turned-troubadours

(Tara, Thom)

Turned towards the twittering tot.

They thrashed there

Trashing the tree

Til timber tumbled.

The troubadours' trusty tools

Toiled tirelessly

To tear the trunk

Trapping the tot.

TA-DA!

They triumphantly towed

The tot to the topsoil

Tapdancing

Til they tasted tomatoes.

The thankful tot

Told the troubadours

The terrible truth:

These trees?

Tombs.

The tumbling trees

Took Tina's trustees.

Toothless tears tumble

Till the teachers tell Tina

Their thoughts.

The three

(Tara, Tina, Thom)

Thereon traveled together.

They told tales

To track the time—

Tide to tide.

About the Creator

Michelle Truman | Prose and Puns | Noyath Books

I fell in love with speculative fiction and poetry many years ago, but I have precious little time to write any. It was high time I started making Prose and Puns a priority, starting with Purple Poetry, Auqredis, and the World of Noyath.
