Trouble Remains

verse 2

By Forest GreenPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

Now the money longer, but the problems multiply

New haters in the comments, same ones from the block ride

Tried to leave it, tried to fly out to the coast

But the ghosts in my phone still hit me the most

Lawyer on speed dial, judge know my face

Every time I touch a mil, another case in the safe

I don’t trust the new friends, I don’t trust the old crew

‘Cause the ones that knew you broke usually hate on you

I been shot at, locked up, watched my dawgs get buried

Still pourin’ liquor for the fallen every February

Tried to go legit, put the work on the shelf

But the streets pull me back like they know me too well

I see the same cycle in my little brother’s eyes

Same hunger, same pain, same look of surprise

When the blue lights flash and the cuffs get tight

Trouble don’t forget, trouble don’t die
