Trouble Remains

verse 1

By Forest GreenPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

Came in the center, still got the scars

Hustle in my blood, sleepin’ with the stars

Street lights blink, but the danger don’t fade

Every corner got a story, every debt gettin’ paid

I was fourteen sellin’ dreams in the rain

Now the same block watchin’ when I pull in the lane

Enemies smile, but the hate in their eyes

I see it clear, I don’t need no disguise

Mama told me keep the circle real tight

‘Cause the ones that smile first usually strike at night

I been grindin’ so long that the money feel fake

Still wake up paranoid, feel the ground when it shake

Couple felons in the rearview, couple legends in the dirt

I just pray that my mama never gotta see me in a shirt

Tatted tears for the years that I lost in the game

Still the trouble remains, still runnin’ the same
