Trippin'

Dedicated to my mother.

By Amanda ThurnherrPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Slippin farther into the abyss

Something seriously amiss

Trippin deeper out of my mind

With nothing left to do but look behind

At all the things i haven't done

All the chances i could have won

Left in the past blown away

Trippin to just stay

Too many thoughts floatin'

A storm just brews slowly bloatin'

Into a huge destructive force

Knowing it'll only get worse

Chances that i have lost

Paying too much of a cost

Trippin down into darkness

Hopin’ for slumber and peacefulness

Finding only anger

Things couldn't get much stranger

Never knew i'd go back

To hatin everything i lack

Searching for the right answer

Asking only questions that tear

Deep inside my soul

Ripping me apart with no control

Unable to undo all the damage

All because you left me to scavenge

For any emotions left

That hasnt already been your victim of theft
