Sometimes my honesty is sharp
Like a rock that etches into skin
when your bare feet don't take their time
I did not mean to carve my teeth into spikes
when I bit off more than I could chew

I thought the meadows made by my tears
would put a divot on my heart
but it is no where to be found

instead

my heart blossomed
opened like a flower
blood coursing
ecstasy

where my harsh thoughts flowed away
I allowed myself
feeling

Sometimes my honesty is soft
rose petals floating down
caressing a cheek
unbound

picture a flame
crack a jar
heated undress
snippet a scar
head to toe
brace for more

it's in my head
I went too far.

sometimes my dreams are too honest
show me where I'm wrong
do I have to be so rigid?
so definitive?

I allow things to flow freely
yet
I see the end in everything
nothing can go on
if you can't see
a life where
nothing goes completely wrong
so I
stay in the moment
and
pretend
the future does not exist
and if it did
you would be in it
or
is it just me
I try
I try not to see things this way
but they always come out
the same exact way

I try
I try not to hold on to vision
but it appears in the exact same way

am I in denial
or is it my mind
my imagination
my dream

I'm alone because I want to be
I'm alone because I'm meant to be
slipping into my heart beat
heavy beat
slow and steady beat
like the stomp of my feet
when I pace up and down the street

heavy heart
sinks into my stomach
sinks into
summit
sinks into my feet

If I am art
how can you take it from me
how can
I breath
without

honesty.
