Treasured Times: Reflections on Childhood

Childhood

Childhood memories, oh how they gleam

Bringing back the joys of a distant dream

The laughter and the games we used to play

The innocence of youth in every way

The sunshine on our faces, the wind in our hair

The freedom to explore without a single care

The taste of ice cream on a summer's day

The days that felt like they'd never go away

The friends we made, the bonds we shared

The secrets and adventures we dared

The silly moments, the tears we cried

The memories we keep close, deep inside

Oh childhood, the time we can never reclaim

A treasure trove of memories, forever untamed

We hold them dear, they never depart

For they are the keys to a happy heart

So let us cherish, the memories we've found

The joy and laughter, the love all around

For though we've grown up, and left that place

Childhood memories will always hold a special space.
