Tread Lightly

Walk the Line

This delicate dance,

The game we play,

I don't know if I should go

Or if I should stay.

Feeling torn between morality

And love,

I ask for guidance

From the stars above.

Purgatory greets my name in reply.

Every time we meet-

Stolen glances,

We're taking chances.

These fleeting moments

Are all we have.

When we're together

The whole world fades away.

But the moment I leave,

You lead a double life.

You come home

To your wife.

This line we walk

Is paper thin.

And I ponder...

When will we fall

Into sin?
