Tumble here, tumble there.
Tumble far to never-where.
Dreams of scheming in disguise
While the planes flash through my skies ,
Overhead and all around ,
Unable to catch the ground.
Still and silent in pursuit
Of a bounty- mostly loot.
Crimson liquid drips to shores
Imploded from strangled pores.
Yet we now have strength to feel
What is false and what is real.
Lines drawn lazily in sand
Show the lines of tired hands.
Shrews and vipers in the night
Drift away to haunted fright.
Yet for now we will stand by
Waiting to spread wings and fly
Far away where none can go
To our sanctuary’s glow,
So forbidden from our gaze
We won’t see till end of days.
