TRAPPED IN REFLECTION
You live deep inside the glass

TRAPPED IN REFLECTION
Mirror mirror a hotel for spirits inside your glass
rooms stacked on rooms stacked on rooms
corridors folding into themselves
whispers trapped in the corners
faces that never sleep
hands pressed against the panes
their fingers cold and endless
they trace the shape of my eyes
I see myself in pieces
each fragment waiting for a door to open
I do not knock I only watch
the shadows in the lobby bow
and the elevator hums with no one inside
I pass the reception of echoes
they hand me keys that vanish
and I walk to my own reflection
and sleep with strangers in my own skin
I wash you down with holy water
still your spirits trapped roam inside
like maggots crawling on my skin.
