Trapped

in my mind

Surrounded,

strapped,

so closely supervised.

Executive functions taking charge

of much greater things

beyond earthly matters.

Brain filled with neurons.

Axons, dendrites, and synapses

on the dendritic tree

connecting and falling apart.

All combinations are in play,

similar to a computer game.

We can try it again

the next day,

while the sun is still out

or after dark.

The brain works behind the scenes,

regardless of light being good or bad.

It functions every day,

even without a perfect controlling machine

imposing itself.

Tasks completed smoothly at dawn

before another collapse.

I wish I hadn't repeated this,

but it is the fate of my brain.
