Transcend"

All the others thought they knew

That spirit was winding its way,

Teaching with every breath

When the others thought

Religion as life support

They were forfeiting free-will

When all Spirit wanted to do was heal.

You can't abandon a muse

You can't want it to be true

You can't give a part of you

Only to be told

Every time you lose;

Not hard to see

Why cults flourish

He or she could be you or I

In times prehistoric

Cannibalism was extremely stoic

Next to 21st century's answer to hedonism,

playing on emotion

Is of anthropomorphic affect.

A luddite with a GPS thinks he found his way;

A sacrifice self-serving

Destroying ourselves as if we had a defect to mend and had to pretend.

Only we think ourselves perfect with

No holes in our logic;

With nothing to transcend.
