The ones who live there love made-up life stories;
There were born with a warped sense of perception.
Take this: cast the truth at their feet,
They will never lay a hand on it;
They will writhe and scream until violence prevails.
They impose their own laws and rules,
Taken from their ancestors centuries ago;
They know not what they do,
Trapped in ignorance and a lack of culture.
The only thing that matters to them
Thrives on what is shoved into their wide-open mouths;
They love to tear open their own wounds.
They never converse; every sincere attempt
To confront their problems
Twists and thwarts, and so it goes until the end of the world.
Their kingdom is death;
That is why they never learn.
They blunder through life aimlessly,
Trampling every attempt
To be true to oneself.
That is simply how they are;
That is why things barely crawl along –
The very same things that could roll forward
Toward greater heights, of course.
