Train to Nowhere
In the stillness of the evening light,
A train rolls in, a curious sight,
Its carriages worn, its whistle a sigh,
A journey commenced, yet no reason why.
Through valleys deep and mountains high,
It travels on, under a casted, grey sky,
Passengers board, their faces a blend,
Of hope and doubt, unsure of the end.
tracks twist and turn, like thoughts in the mind,
Leading to places both lost and confined,
The landscape changes, from green to grey,
Yet the train presses on, come what may.
With each passing station, the echoes resound,
Of laughter and tears, of hearts that are bound,
To memories shared, and dreams left behind,
In this fleeting moment, all are entwined.
The journey is endless, yet time feels so still,
As the train to nowhere climbs up the hill,
A fear made in steel and in steam,
A reflection of life, and the paths that we dream.
So here we sit, in this carriage of fate,
With stories unspoken, we contemplate,
For though the destination remains out of sight,
I don’t think this journey will end with out a fight
