Train of Depression
This poem is about battling depression.
It’s like having your heart run over by a train you never saw coming.
Then picking up the glass shards of a broken vase.
You can glue it back together but it’s a lost cause and will only break when the next train comes through.
This train has no schedule.
It can appear on a clear day when the sun is shining bright, and also on a cold dark rainy day.
The train of depression can follow you anywhere and appear at any time.
It’s like a ghost there to haunt you.
It’s a phantom of your mind that only you can see and hear.
It’s your emotions working against you.
Your own mind working against you.
