Traces

Distraction

Deny deny deny, hold onto whatever truth you find to be evident,

I can’t tell you that it’s going to be okay.

Stand by and stay small, and maybe it will be.

Trace back to the beginning, back to when it made sense.

Race to the finish line, but you and I both know that’s not the ending you deserve.

A life full of wonder is waiting for you, across a field, through a door,

Caught behind a trip wire that you didn’t set,

Take the leap, fall into the shallow pool, but get out of the pouring rain.

Ironically, it doesn’t matter what I say, if you’re happy,

Or if you think this is right, then don’t ever let go,

No matter what you choose, you’ll never be alone.
