There was a young lady from Dallas.
She went by the name of Alice.
Sinister voice and mean,
unlike a royal queen.
Yet, she wound up in a palace.
Writer's notes: Vivid memories of my English class in Junior High School flash through my head. From the start, Limericks have bewildered me. Honestly, after many many attempts, there wasn't a limerick in my head.
Therefore, limericks weren't my cup of tea. This fact has been acknowledged and mentioned in my posts and comments.

Dear reader, this is my very very first Limerick.
As you well know, the poetic pattern is AABBA. The five simple lines that until today have been unachievable.

Do You See Me Now?
The light peeking through the lazily closed curtains shines onto his drowsy, heavy eyes acting as a rude alarm to awaken him from his drunken slumber. Sully turns to his side and is met with long blonde hair facing away from him. He can’t see her face so isn’t sure if she’s a new woman or one he’s been here before with. Almost designed by fate, the aggressive vibration of his phone beckons him.
