a life lived in dark rooms
celluloid imprints
shades reversed
white now black
black now absent
see through
a hollowed out figure
- frozen -
where life once flowed
flawed - sure -
but full
in the gaps
head thrown back
echoes of laughter
pealing
- peeling -
from gelatinous strips
/ a moment snapped /
broken
transformed to transparency
trapped in a time
that
has
now
trailed
into
tedium
taking her with it
keeping her captive while life goes on
and
she

a
d
e
s
over exposed
and under-recognised
a shadow of self
(outline intact)
contact printed
shining light through paper
over
and over
a complete tonal drop out
until all that is left
is the hollowed out figure
that
looks
a little
like
her
