Tom Mboya, a man of great fame,

On his shoulders, political games.

Born in Kenya, in a time of strife,

He set on a journey, to change his life.

A man of the people, he quickly rose,

To become a leader, with a vision in his pose.

He fought for justice in his country,

Where the people were oppressed and hungry.

He spoke out against the colonial rulers,

And fought for the rights of all the workers.

His voice was loud, his words were clear,

For the hope of a Kenya, free of fear.

With a plan in mind, he sought to educate,

The children of his country, to change their fate.

He built schools and universities,

To give the youth, a chance to rise.

But his fight was cut short, by an assassin's bullet,

On that fateful day, his heart stopped its pulsate.

Kenya mourned, the loss of a hero,

But his legacy lives on, as the people know.

Tom Mboya, a name that will forever ring,

In the history of Africa, a freedom king.

A man of great courage, who fought for his nation,

His story in poetry, a symbol of inspiration.
