Tokyo

Night lights

Mosquito bites

Big cites

And beautiful sights

In this foreign land

I struggle to understand

Yet all I see

are well known brands

I’m here in Japan

With a brand-new plan,

To put away the past

And start over at last.

Neon lights

In the beautiful sky

Now I see why, people take this flight

Hopefully one day

You will see

The astonishing array

That may inspire you

To look out of the blue

And look for something better

Just like I have too.

This is a photo I took when I arrived to Tokyo (from a McDonald window). Each time I look at it I remember the beauty of the city and it inspired me to write his poem. Enjoy!
