Today’s World

Overwhelmed

Disgusting language being cast at many,

Impetuous thoughts, mine cost more than a penny;

Scrupulous thievery, a prize to heist,

Turbulent moments, criminals enticed,

Reminders reminding what is no more,

Academics, brotherhood, no love to explore;

Convenient chatter no longer a matter,

Tempers flying, friendships in scatter,

Involvement denied again and again,

Only to wonder what’s left but sin;

New starts are waiting, where shall we begin?

Whatever the message here, I leave the reader to decide, I’m just sitting here watching the birds bring alive these words as they squabble over freshly filled feeders.

Thank you for reading!!

    Moe, this is very raw and honest. I'm thankful for people in the world like you, who do more than cast stones in anger. Great reminder to walk in peace.

  • It is always good to have hope despite what is happening in the world

    Yes sire, buddy I have to agree with the Dharrsheena and Paul. Time for some new starts. Great job!

    This is great, Moe and so many truths in there. I agree with Dharrsheena - the hopeful ending gives it a nice turnaround.

  • I loved the hopeful ending! That was a nice touch. Awesome poem!
