Keep always trying

If it were all to find where the cheese is at

I would not feel like a lost and lonely brat

Just a journey to a galaxy or star

Really not knowing how much further, how far

I could really use the job at Hallmark

There i can make a greater poet's mark

just sailing a long and distant shore

Not really sure what the journey is for

Some brave new mathematics

Greater than any bar room antics

The bar fly has retired

The alcohol has expired

What is taste?

What is haste?

Making the time

worth more than a dime

Got my poem spitten

Could have been better written

Not a walk in the park

Not to be a shot in the dark

The computer relays my rhyme

More than just passing time

Mediocrity begs excellence

I can write with eloquence

people's gotta work

gotta buy another shirt

taking my mind outside the cage

prepping and setting a better stage

This poem has reached its end

Somewhere, maybe a new friend

Putting the car into cruise

Trying to find some better views
