Toad to the Rescue
For Doodles and Ditties, Sara's unofficial challenge
Once, I met a mushroom guy,
He was bright and yellow.
"Eli made me super fly,"
Said the cheerful fellow.

Then, he introduced his friend,
Izzy's wide-eyed cat.
She could disappear and blend,
But then, she fell down, flat.

Toad, what's up?
Toad, get up!
Toad, build up!
Time to 1up!

Then, we met a nighttime bird,
Whose hooting was her thing,
But Lily's owl had lost her voice.
She couldn't even sing.
*
Toad, what's up?
Toad, get up!
Toad, build up!
Time to 1up!

And so, Toad's 1ups saved the day,
And everyone danced and cheered,
For mushroom guy, turns out, was way
More handy than he appeared.
