to the core

nothing can never be wrong

By angela hepworthPublished 2 years ago • Updated 2 years ago • 1 min read

who am i

and how can i change

what i do not know?

how can i know the self

when everything i touch

and everything i see

melts away before me

before i can catch it?

like scorched snow

like embers of flame

sparking and spreading

i feel burnt up

and burnt out

i feel as if

i cannot take

and cannot give

i only see and think

i do not comprehend

i do not know

anything

i do not think

who i am

or who i want to be

can become something

that i can know

and touch

and feel

and believe is within me

and how can i be

when everything i think

and everything i do

is wrong?

how can i persist

if everything i try

and everything i perceive

is never what i know

or what i believe?

how can i truly

really

believe

in something

when i only know

nothing

for i am not

to my core

anything

but uncertain

and unafraid

that i will ever be mistaken

for nothing

can never be anything

nothing

can never be wrong
