The memories that appear

The moment it all finishes

is the moment it ceases to fade.

And suddenly there comes pouring

all the memories that were made.

***

The memories bite,

like bees, but with the honey.

Somehow, I like the regrets;

Somehow, the pain is now funny.

***

They say it flew by fast,

but my thoughts are not so.

To me it was long and tiring.

The days were long, slow.

***

But now that the end is near

a part of me wants it to stay.

While, another phase entirely

is happy it's almost away.

***

The feeling inside

a tapping hollow.

Somehow, all the insults

I can now swallow.

***

I can't quite place my heart

in this time, between;

when the memories start to fade

But no horizon can yet be seen.

***

It's hard to place

relief in what's going.

But neither is desire

to hold on showing.

***

Now my vision is through a stranger.

My heart is floating somewhere high.

A million thoughts are interfering

with my million-emotion worth goodbye.
