To be glad

To be glad, it's not even sad

To be glad,

It's not even sad

Or mad

I had my moments

Here and there

I had my doubts

I had my times when I'm on the outs

But I'm here

Without a doubt

I've hidden myself from the shadows

Never bother to look at the windows

Open doors creak open up to me

Yet my stale chained legs and soul won't set me free

To be sad

It's not even bad

I would rather be mad

It's not so bad

I had moments

Here and there

I try to be glad

Not to be sad

The whole universe has been a drag

But I don't look back

I don't want to lack

I hate being sad

I want to be glad
