You Don't Know How Much I Miss You.

I drew your heart in the sand today,

I miss you;

I know we had to go seperate ways,

It fills me with sadness,

I still think about you every day.

Do you remember those happy nights

In Dartmouth Park?

The park where we set our troubles free,

And played music all night,

Where we talked about our traumas,

And held each other tight;

I remember.

I was troubled on some of those nights,

Scared and alone,

A vulnerable teenager sleeping on the streets,

Then you showed me the meaning of a friendship

So deep,

You showed me love.

It was forbidden;

I was taken by someone I didn't really want to be with,

Bonded by trauma, not true feelings,

My true feelings were with you.

If I had told you, would you have stayed

despite not knowing how vulnerable I

really was?

Now, I am married,

And I am really happy,

But my happiness would be complete,

If only my truest friend would walk back

into my life,

Yes;

My husband knows about you,

He knows how close we were,

And that I'd never leave him for another;

He also knows how lost I have been without my

dear friend by my side.

It has been many long years since I had

a friendship like we did,

And though I love my husband very much,

I miss you.

Oh Titch!

If only you knew,

You don't know how much I miss you,

I might be taken,

But the flame of true friendship is still open to you,

You just have to reach for it,

Friendship is about understanding and forgiving,

It's about healing without judging;

The door will always be open for you,

Because our friendship is unconditional.
