We tell the stories
How we used to live
What people it made us be
What shaped us to become
But how the present shapes us now?
Does that even come into account?
Or do we remember the present
Only when the time has passed
When all the dust has settled in
When all the rocks have found it shape
How now is changing us today?
How steps we seize will change the way?
Or is it future we look ahead
When we are waking up today?
When we are walking step by step
To reach the dreams or run away
The stories help us find our home
The future helps to built our own
But none of these will seem exist
If present doesn't give its gifts
