You've been in the dark too long, my friend.

You've been hiding out all on your own.

Now, your self-destructive ways must end.

I am here to prove you're not alone.

*

Though you're feeling down and black as night,

And that hope is nothing but a dream,

And that nothing good will come to light,

Just remember, sparks may later gleam.

*

Now, your gloomy paradigm must shift.

Now, you start your journey from the clouds.

With my offer of a gentle lift,

You may find the light your darkness shrouds.

*

Do you feel the lightness? Cross that line.

When you smile, you glow. It's time to shine.
