Time Stands Still For No One
If tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow is not yet here
Today is all that we can draw on
Live it because it too will disappear.
🕐🕧🕝🕑
The world is full of ups and downs
Like a Ferris wheel or merry-go-round
So many things to spin us round
At least that’s what I’ve found
🕐🕧🕝🕑
I can’t focus on a future
Because there may be none
I must not dwell on the past for sure
Because that is already said and done
🕐🕧🕝🕑
There may not be another day
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone
I might not have the chance to say
“I love you,” to that special one.
🕐🕧🕝🕑
If I knew today was all I had
I’d like to live it so there are no regrets
I’d tell the world of what I’m glad
My life, my love and yes, my pets
🕐🕧🕝🕑
No matter what the weather has to say
Today is a brand new day
Embrace it in a positive way
That’s all I have to say.
🕐🕧🕝🕑
“Don’t wait for tomorrow
Why not do it today?
🕐🕧🕝🕑
[A/n: As we get older, I think we worry more about time because we have less of it left. Sad but true. As I thought last week about 9/11, it occurred to me that many people woke up that day thinking that they could do something tomorrow. If they had their time, many things they'd put off would have to be done when given a second chance.
So, tell that someone special, do that kind thing you have been thinking about, make that change you have been holding onto because the reality is there may not be a tomorrow.]
Time stops for no one
Till next time
