The clock ticks away

Each moment a precious gift

Time, both friend and foe

-----------------------------------------

This is a haiku about time, highlighting the dual nature of time as both a friend and a foe. The first line, "The clock ticks away," emphasizes the constant and inevitable movement of time, as represented by the ticking of a clock.

The second line, "Each moment a precious gift," acknowledges that time can be a friend because each moment is precious, and we should appreciate and make the most of our time.

However, the final line, "Time, both friend and foe," reminds us that time can also be a foe because it is limited and fleeting, and we can never return the time we have lost. Overall, this haiku reflects on the bittersweet nature of time and encourages us to cherish every moment we have it.
