I climb aboard my time machine,
And journey through the ages seen,
From ancient days to futures bright,
I soar through time with all my might.
The past unfolds before my eyes,
With ancient ruins and olden skies,
I glimpse the lives of those long gone,
And hear their stories, lost in the song.
Then off to futures yet unknown,
Where man and machine have surely grown,
And worlds beyond my wildest dreams,
Reveal themselves in wondrous beams.
But through it all, one thing I find,
Is that the past remains behind,
And though I travel time and space,
I cannot change its sacred place.
For the time is not a thing to bend,
Or shape to suit our mortal end,
But rather, it's a gift to see,
The beauty of what used to be.
So journey on, my time machine,
And take me where I've never been,
But let me keep my memories dear,
Of times and places far and near.
