Time flies

Time, a thief with silent tread,

Steals the moments, leaves them dead.

Sand through fingers, swift it pours,

Leaving memories on distant shores.

Childhood laughter, light and bright,

Fades to echoes in the fading light.

Dreams we chased with youthful glee,

Now appear as distant memory.

Seasons turn, a constant flow,

Winter's chill to summer's glow.

Leaves unfurl, then dance and fall,

A silent rhythm, nature's call.

Love's first bloom, a fragile thing,

May wither, or forever cling.

Friendships formed in youthful days,

Scattered paths, on life's sharp maze.

But though the moments slip away,

The lessons learned with them will stay.

Embrace the present, hold it tight,

For time, once lost, is lost from sight.

Cherish laughter, love's embrace,

The beauty found in time and space.

For even though the past may flee,

We hold the future, yet to be.
