Living in the Present Moment

I’m not sure what’s more terrifying

The past, present, or future

The past will haunt you for the rest of your life

The present will have you wondering how you even got there

The future is so far away and will cause you to lose sight of what’s right in front of you

It’s almost like you can't focus on one of these things without thinking about the other

But when you really think about life, the only thing that feels real is the present

The past often feels like a dream and so does the future

The past is full of good and bad situations that have gone by so fast and have shaped you to be who you are in the present moment

The future is full of wishful thinking about the things that may or may not happen

The present seems to be the safest place to build from

You realize that things aren’t what they used to be and you have control over what could be

However you worry about the right decision to make because you don’t want the past to continue to haunt you and you don’t want your future to be jeopardized

So how do you truly indulge yourself in the now without being pulled back and forth between the past and the future?

Take what has happened, create better now, and plan for what is to come

Even though life is full of surprises, at least you’ve come up with ways to face reality
