Time

A Poem

"Time..."

If I could pause or rewind...

Beneath the vail of mystery find...

The secret to the moment...

Lost in time.

For we wait and we forget...

We remember as the sun swiftly sets...

All that was yours and mine...

In time.

The sands slip through the hour glass...

Held in the great magicians hand.

As he laughs at how we are confused...

At the madness of his masterplan.

We run through our lives chasing the clock...

As if forever beckons.

We forget as eternity is pondered on...

That there is a lifetime in a second.

We look at the months & weeks...

As the days and hours are lost.

We lose the minutes, the seconds...

At what extreme cost?

If we could stop and stare.

I know we could all become aware.

Of the bigger picture...

That we are altogether part of.

Within lifes picture frame...

We are all guilty of blame...

But we are all one of the same...

That much I am sure of.

In time will come all answers.

In the moment of which our past and future dances.

It's there and then...

We will find all there is to know.

The ironic thing about time...

It's already yours and mine.

But we never appreciate it...

Until we watch it go.

"Time."
