Time

Why can’t I have your undivided attention,

You give us moments but run away when I try to make us last,

you’ve been in my past & present, will you let me see my future,

I plan, schedule, arrange, but the way you move,

each moment is indefinite,

my faith is what slows you down, even when everyone is around,

they say use you wisely, so I rather grow in the moments given,

hoping we can stay together longer,

realistically understanding the uncertainties,

I believe without me being stagnant,

time will flow with my essence,

carrying my energy even without enough you to go around
