Till my Last Breath

My Pain

By Mercedes ChavezPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

I scream, I shout

I need an escape,

A potential way out

It's not an ideal fate

But this pain is far more than I can take

So many tears have been shed

Let it all end for my sake

From the wounds I have bled

O death, I beg of you

Grant me this small mercy

I know nothing of what I should do

I know I am guilty

I admit to what I have done

But the other will not

I attempted to run

But running was not what I was taught

I will continue to fight

With all my might

Till my very last breath
