Tigers
Tigers are the largest cat species - a poem
She stalks the jungle
camouflaged, a Bengal beauty
He strides the Siberian snow on
snowshoe-padded paws
Strong swimmers, their stripes
are their fingerprints,
no two the same
Solitary stalking predators
And now, sadly, these
colossal cats are sparse

Tigers are severely endangered, with perhaps 4000 left in the wild worldwide. Tigers are the largest species of cat. An adult can eat around 88 pounds of meat per day. They swim, and it helps them cover distances to hunt. When shaved, their skin also has stripes matching those on their fur!
