'Thunivu' vs 'Varisu': Ajith and Vijay fans fight to prove their mass with celebrations

Pongal festival is one of the important festivals in Tamil Nadu, and Tamil cinema never misses delivering new films for the grandeur festival. But this time it's a massive Pongal for Tamil cinema fans as Vijay's 'Varisu' and 'Thunivu' have arrived in theatres for the festival occasion. ''Thunivu' FDFS opened earlier than 'Varisu' across locations, and the show began at 1 AM IST. it's a sleepless night for Ajith fans as they gather in theatres well ahead of the FDFS, and their celebrations have peaked with drums, dance, cheer, and songs to welcome their favorite star.

Meanwhile, Vijay fans have also begun their celebrations parallelly as the FDFS of 'Varisu' begin at 4 AM right after 'Thunivu' FDFS. Theatre owners have made excellent arrangements to avoid fan fights and make them have a joy filled Pongal celebrations.

Fans express their excitement and love for their favorite actor by anointing milk to their banners, and several theatres have made some musical arrangements to make the FDFS more special. Fans have tuned into the party mode and it's full of celebrations for Ajith and Vijay fans. Some fans dress up like their favorite star, while a few rocks with their decorations to give a grand welcome.

'Varisu' and 'Thunivu' have occupied almost equal screens in Tamil Nadu, while the overall screen count is higher for the former. The box office will be on fire for the new few days, and we can see both actors go up and down with their movie numbers.
